# SUMMARY:
The Functional Manager of BIM is responsible to define the requirements and develop / implement the defined requirements within Bechtel. Further, BIM implementation will include identification, creation, collection, storage, retrieval, and overall management of project data. The implementation of these requirements will require change impact evaluation to current state work processes. This position will set the business strategy for BIM related data management along with processes, procedures and tool sets for the organization to utilize in the near term, providing input to DEP team as required to ensure alignment with future state business operating model. The BIM Lead will identify skills, job requirements, and potential additional roles required to complete the implementation on project(s). The BIM Lead will work with existing functional managers to provide appropriate skilled resource to projects This role will be responsible for providing guidance to GBUs / Customers on BIM requirements and on proposed approach to satisfy contractual requirements, BIM Lead will work with Bechtel Legal to ensure that requirements for data delivery are understood and IP requirements are aligned in the Prime Contract ensuring that Bechtel and Customer see data as a Bechtel Asset. The BIM Lead will work closely with EPC Functions Manager of Automation, the Functional Manager of IS&T, as well as O&AS to ensure alignment with the required tools/systems as well as document management processes and procedures.
The BIM Lead will have a proven track record in developing business strategy to drive customer and organizational value in BIM, and also managing data in a high-volume environment. They will have experience in leading teams in the identification, collecting, protecting, analyzing, organizing large data sets. Experience working in an agile environment and utilizing design thinking concepts shaping the organization. Leading change as we incorporate BIM within the work environment will also be a critical skill.

+ Develops the enterprise strategy, deploys the processes and procedures to support BIM
# ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
+ Develops and implements the procedures and work processes for project personnel to implement the Project BIM Strategy Changes to Existing and New.
+ Develops the Business BIM strategy for use by GBUs to support the full project lifecycle from project development through execution and post turnover.
+ Works with the other functional managers to support the DEP PMO
+ Develops and maintains the critical job tool boxes, templates as required to support deployment of the BIM program.
+ Works with the other functional managers to define level of detail and data attributes required to support internal and external data requirements
+ Works with functional IT management to define how and where data will be stored, managed, analyzed, and delivered per GBU and customer requirements.
+ Provides input to proposals on staffing required to support BIM deliverables
+ Provides input and guidance to proposals on BIM delivery and integration with other functions
+ Ensures and maintains BIM certification and compliance with external accreditation sources
+ Conducts regular reviews and assessments of project BIM requirements through the GATE and KASE process
+ Develop standard templates used for the supply chain to ensure BIM capabilities are assessed and aligned to the Project Information Model.
+ Conducts regular Assessments to review the implementation of the BEP and level of BIM maturity achieved on the Project, and to seek opportunities for improvement
# JOB KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
+ Deep understanding of Bechtel core processes and procedures across the EPC functions
+ Familiarity with data management requirements on large scale projects
+ Experience in developing data management execution strategies and plans
+ Strong Project-led understanding of cross-functional work processes and the applications used for Project execution.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain new work processes and technologies to all levels of the organization.
+ Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority.
+ Ability to manage priorities and take on additional evolving responsibilities with demonstrated experience providing direction/supervising a team.
# BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Bachelors degree in Engineering or other relevant technical discipline from an accredited university as well as a minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience, or 20 years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree.
+ Must have Ten (10) years of project experience, supporting each phase of the project lifecycle
+ Experience in developing data management execution strategies and plans
